The BTT Terra de Loulé Club promotes the IV ORI BTT Loulé, to be held on 13 and 14 April 2019, in Loulé, in partnership with the City Council, São Clemente Town Council, São Sebastião and Almancil and the Portuguese Orienteering Federation.
The IV ORI BTT Loulé is a MTB orienteering event, rated for the 2019 MTB Orienteering Portugal Cup, with the first day being also destined for the National Middle Distance Championship for all competitive levels.
In this event, people of all ages and sex, both federated and non-federated, can participate, as there are adapted courses with varying degrees of difficulty, and participation may be carried out in the competition or open echelons.
The IV ORI BTT Loulé foresees the dispute of two stages of Average Distance. On the first day the terrain presents little slope, a reasonable network of paths in an urban and sandy environment, with interesting options and demanding guidance technique. On the second day the terrain will be played in a zone with a good network of paths, in a mixture of tar, single-tracks and clay. The terrain has some slope, with areas where the limestone rock and the Algarvian baroque predominate. There are suitable courses for all types of progress and orientation knowledge.
