"Lusíadas, S.A. and Lusíadas SGPS, S.A. confirm that search efforts have been carried out by officials of the Competition Authority at its headquarters," the group said in a statement.
According to the same source, the development of the procedures "focuses exclusively" on the premises of the administrative services of the two companies, "and therefore had no implication in the services provided by Lusíadas hospitals and / or health units."
The companies also ensured that they were providing "all due cooperation" to the AdC.
"The lawsuit is strictly of a non-judicial nature and is a secret of justice, so that, under legal terms, companies can not provide any additional information on this matter," the statement said.
José de Mello Saúde, who manages CUF hospitals, has also confirmed that he has been searched by the AdC, claiming "total availability" to respond to requests from this entity.
