The municipality of Águeda will receive 9.6 million euros in transfers from the state budget for the year 2020 under the participation of municipalities in state taxes. Eight million come from the Financial Balance Fund (ETF), only surpassed by Arouca (8.1), Oliveira de Azeméis (10.8) and Santa Maria da Feira (13.7).

In all transfers, the 19 municipalities of Aveiro district will receive 168 million euros, of which Santa Maria da Feira (22.6 million), Oliveira de Azeméis (15.7) and Aveiro (11 million) are the three municipalities with the highest values. Águeda receives slightly less than Arouca (9.8 million) and slightly more than Ovar (9.4) and Anadia (9.2).
Águeda is the only municipality that abdicates its value in the IRS, which ranges from 5% (Arouca, Aveiro, Ílhavo, Oliveira de Azeméis, Santa Maria da Feira and Ovar) and 2% (Mealhada) in the other municipalities of the District. In Aveiro, municipal revenue through the IRS amounts to 5.5 million euros, of which 4.6 million in Santa Maria da Feira.
