The Association of Hotels and Tourist Enterprises of the Algarve (AHETA) and SITESE – Union of Workers and Technicians of Services, Commerce, Restaurants and Tourism reached, after a long period of negotiations, an agreement for the revision of the collective labor contract ( CCT).
The agreement, which was signed on the 26th of July of this year, at the Ministry of Labor, in Lisbon, will be in force for a period of three years and takes effect on the 1st of June 2020, with DGERT – Directorate General for Employment and Relations Labor mediated negotiations.
The changes involve, according to AHETA, "issues related to the hour bank, holidays, weekly rest day work, holidays and overtime".
This CCT signed between AHETA and SITESE is applicable exclusively to establishments registered in the association.
"We draw the attention of our associates to the fact that the establishments, owned and / or operated by a company affiliated with AHETA, but not registered in the association, are covered by other collective labor agreements, as follows from the respective extension ordinances", alerts the association.
AHETA's CCT maintains “very significant differences” when compared to other CCTs signed by other entities, namely in terms of holidays, bank hours, allowances for failures or language subsidies, to name a few examples.
