However, it is also possible to follow “Hora do Conto”, reading suggestions and the launch of challenges and hobbies on the Facebook page.
«A book is always an excellent company. It is through books that we acquire new knowledge, but
it is also the pleasure of reading that allows us to know important figures and facts of the present day and the history of our civilization, as well as to travel through incredible places without leaving home », underlines Ana Pífaro.
«Therefore, in this confinement phase that we are all obliged to, due to the Covid 19 pandemic, we believe that access to books and reading is even more important and despite the Municipal Library being closed to the public, we decided to resume the service loan of books ”, justifies the councilor responsible for Culture.
Thus, starting next Monday, April 27, the Municipal Library Lídia Jorge resumes its book loan service, which will operate three days a week: Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 10 am to 3 pm. To access the service, those interested must first consult the Municipal Library catalog through the following link and choose their reading preference.
Then it is necessary to call the number: 289 599 507 or send an email to: [email protected], indicate the books that the reader wants to order (titles and authors), number of readers of the Library and full name. The next step is to schedule the date and time to pick up the order in person at the Municipal Library
The Lídia Jorge Municipal Library, although closed, has been holding the usual “Hora do Conto”, every Saturday, at 11:00 am, with a story reading for the little ones, reading suggestions for adults and children, launching challenges and hobbies, which you can access through the Facebook page.
