The municipality of Alcoutim today signed a collective labor agreement that reinstates the 25 days of vacation for its workers, increasing their annual rest period in three days.
Under the terms of the agreement signed with STAL – National Union of Workers of Local and Regional Administration, Public Companies, Concessionaires and the like, "the 25 days of vacation for their workers will be restored, according to the classification of service, increasing the annual period of rest of the employees in three days, "the local authority said.
The worker still has the right to miss justifiably, on the day of the funeral, when the death of family member of the collateral line in 3rd degree (uncle, aunt, nephew or niece) occurs.
The measure, which passes holiday days from 22 to 25, aims to "reward the merit and performance of employees, since it will be applied to workers who have been attributed, in the assessment of performance, the indication of suitable or higher."
The municipality thus joins other entities that are advancing in the restoration of this regalia of the civil servants provided for in the General Labor Law in Public Functions.
