The Alcoutim Town Hall will participate, as a guest, in the 5th edition of the Tenerife Walking Festival, on the island of Tenerife, in the Canaries, Spain, between Wednesday and Saturday, days 22 to 25.
Around 200 participants from more than a dozen different nationalities, including tour operators, travel agents and media, will take part in the event, one of the most outstanding in Europe related to hiking.
During the week, the festival program will consist of a total of 15 different routes that are spread throughout the island and characterized by the diversity of its landscapes, be it volcanic, coastal or green spaces.
In parallel with the tours, will be organized conferences, musical presentations, a tasting of traditional cuisine and a show of active tourism companies.
The invitation to the municipality of Alcoutim comes as a result of the partnerships created on 30 November and 1 December, when the Tenerife Walking Festival was presented at the Forum of Tourism for Nature and Hiking, an event organized by the Odiana Association in partnership with the Chamber Municipal of Alcoutim.
To combine this Spanish festival with the Alcoutim and Sanlúcar de Guadiana Hiking Festival, integrating in the future a European network of hiking festivals, and to know directly the work and methods of the sustainability commitment of this event, as well as its environmental certification seal, are the main goals of the alcouteneja presence in Tenerife.
