The steering committee of the Operational Program CRESC Algarve 2020 announced the list of the 852 operations approved until June 30, which represent an execution rate of 24.7%, with an eligible cost of 114.41 million euros.
The rates of approval and implementation of European Union funds in the Algarve amount to 70.86% and 26.33% (ERDF – European Regional Development Fund) and 46.39% and 20.86% (ESF – Fund European Commission), respectively, "in line with the other regional operational programs," said the Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission (CCDR).
In order to ensure full transparency in the allocation of European Union funds in the region, CRESC Algarve 2020 regularly shares with all citizens information on the projects supported.
At this moment, the list of projects approved until June 30 is available for public consultation.
By December 31, 2018, in all the various programs included in the Portugal 2020 Partnership Agreement (SEUR – Operational Program Sustainability and Efficiency in the Use of Resources, PO MAR 2020, PDR 2020 – Rural Development Program 2014-2020 and Interreg Spain – Portugal), the Algarve region had 1,625 approved operations, worth approximately 317 million euros of approved funds.
In terms of financial volume, after the CRESC Algarve 2020 OP, which had already approved 189.5 million euros (relating to 790 operations) at that date, the PO SEUR stood out with 69 approved operations and 65.2 million euros of funds allocated to the Algarve.
