LAMA Teatro will present the work «Romeu e Romeu», a creation and staging by João de Brito and Nuno Preto, at Teatro Taborda, in Lisbon, between 26 and 29 November.
"What is it that killed love?" This is the first question of the show, which starts from an idea of love by Shakespeare in his primordial work, "Romeo and Juliet".
«Romeu e Romeu» is “a place of provocation, of provocation about inevitability”, says the Algarve company.
“It seems like a fatal word, just like the fate of Juliet and Romeo, but if this fatality did not exist, we would probably be talking about two other names, because such a fate is inevitable so that it will be remembered. Or not? ”, He asks himself.
The show, created and performed by João de Brito and Nuno Preto, is scheduled for the 26th and 27th at 19:00 and for the 28th and 29th at 11:00.
It is a co-production between LAMA Teatro, Cine-Teatro Louletano, Teatro das Figuras and Teatro de Vila Real.
