The first phase of applications for courses at the School of Hospitality and Tourism of the Algarve (EHTA) for the academic year 2020/2021 will start on June 1, the institution announced.
“The courses aim to train young people in areas that will be decisive to consolidate the image of the Algarve again as a destination of choice”, points out EHTA, in a statement.
The school based in Faro highlights "quality, reputation and professionalism" as the "long-recognized attributes" of the courses taught there, which lead many hundreds of young people to apply for a place each year.
On the 1st of June, the first phase of candidacies begins, extending until the 15th of July.
The school's commitment remains in its “areas of choice”: Kitchen, Pastry, Restaurant, Bar, Accommodation and Tourism.
“Our bet for 2020/2021 is based on the training of human resources, in areas that are decisive for the repositioning of our region as a tourist destination of excellence, with a commitment to transforming the expectations and dreams of our young people into reality, always in close collaboration with businessmen in the sector ”, highlights the school's director, Paula Vicente.
“Ensuring professional growth opportunities” to its students has always been one of EHTA's concerns, which promotes experiences in different hospitality, tourism and catering environments through international internships, exchanges of students and trainers and participation in international events.
The School of Hospitality and Tourism of the Algarve offers level 5 courses for those who have the 12th year of schooling and level 4 courses for those who have the 9th year. As in this school year, level 4 students will continue to be exempt from tuition fees.
“Training more high-quality professionals will certainly be a strong contribution to the recovery of the tourism industry in our country and especially in the Algarve region”, concludes EHTA.
Registrations will be made through the website of the Portuguese Tourism Schools.
