The Municipal Auditorium of Albufeira will receive a concert integrated in the 34th FIMA – International Music Festival of Algarve, on May 23, at 9pm. Highlights will be two works by two great composers of the classical period; Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart.
The second concert dedicated to the theme "Serenades and Symphonies of the Chamber" begins with the Little String Eternal Serenade "Eine kleine nachtmusik", "probably one of the most famous and beautiful parts of Mozart, with its extreme joviality and freshness" the organization says.
The version of Haydn's latest Symphony, performed by Salomon, the agent who organized Haydn's tours to London, points to a very fashionable practice at the time – the transcription for small groupings as a way of spreading the great symphonic works.
With the commented format of concert, this performance of a camerístico group of the Classical Orchestra of the South will count with the presence of the conductor Rui Pinheiro in the paper of commentator, like way of approaching the hearing of the work of these composers.
The chamber music group of the Orquestra Clássica do Sul has Jan Pipal and João Castro on violins, Ivetta Natzkaya on viola, Vasile Stanescu on cello and Stefania Bernardi on flute.
The concert will take place at the Municipal Auditorium of Albufeira on May 23, at 9:00 p.m. The tickets have the unit value of 8 euros and can be purchased at the venue of the event on the day of the concert from 8pm, and through the online ticket office.
