The Algarve Stadium will host this weekend, between June 8 and 10, the 13th edition of the Algarve MiniFoot, which will have around 700 young footballers, from 4 to 10 years old.
The event, organized by the Generation Sport Athletic Association | Benfica Football School Loulé – Faro, will have 23 clubs, Algarve, Alentejo and Lisbon, divided into 60 teams by five levels (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2013).
In total, around 700 young players are expected to play "on the biggest football stadium in the south of the Tagus, the Algarve Stadium," the organization points out.
"It's a significant number of young players, but it's a privilege and satisfaction to have an event with this number of young players taking part," it adds.
Also the referees will represent a new bet in the youth: they will be young people between the ages of 14 and 15, trainees of the Association of Soccer of the Algarve.
In addition to the number of athletes, there will also be more than 100 members of the technical staff of the teams and about half a hundred people of the organization, or almost 1000 people directly involved in the tournament.
"About 4 to 5 thousand spectators will pass through the Algarve Stadium during the three days," the organization points out.
The awards ceremony takes place on Monday, 10, at 18:30.
