The 3rd Arrábida Classics, an international road cycling event, will be played on Sunday 17, between Palmela and Sesimbra, with the presence of the Algarve teams Aviludo / Louletano and Sporting / Tavira.
The event will be disputed by a platoon of 161 runners, representing 23 teams.
In the most international edition ever, cyclists from 18 countries will be present: Australia, Belgium, Bulgaria, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Norway, New Zealand, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, United States of America, United States , Switzerland and Uruguay.
The race begins at 11:40 p.m., on the Largo de São João, in Palmela, ending at around 4:00 p.m., in Castelo de Sesimbra, after traveling 182.3 kilometers. The final phase, in circuit, will have a total of 33 kilometers, which include three climbs to Alto da Serra, the last with goal in the castle.
In addition to the short but demanding ascents, Arrábida's Classical remains faithful to the ingredient that has given it charisma, with two sectors of earth-beat and gravel.
