In 2018, Vilamoura and Quarteira will once again be the stage for another Algarve Tri Run, an event that is already in its 4th edition. Scheduled for November 18, the Algarve Tri Run 4.0 will once again receive a stage of the National Long Triathlon Championship and a Half-Marathon, which will be tested with the course approved by the Portuguese Athletics Federation.
Vilamoura, a unique tourist attraction in Portugal, visited annually by millions of people, stands out for its beautiful beaches, warm waters and white sand, its golf courses, its Marina and international sporting events.
In the Algarve Tri Run – Triathlon Long, athletes will swim 1.9 km on the beach of Marina de Vilamoura, travel 90 km by bicycle in the interior of the relatively demanding municipality of Loulé, and run 21.1 km between Passeio das Dunas and the Quarteira Boardwalk, with an accumulation of low drop, allowing a very fast route where excellent performances can be achieved.
In the Algarve Tri Run – Half Marathon, the course will be traveled between Vilamoura and Quarteira in two laps, with a accumulated low drop, allowing a very fast test where you can beat national and international records, since the course is homologated for the distance of 21,1 km.
There will also be a Mini-Marathon with a distance of 12.5 km and a March with 6.5 km, which will provide the whole family a different morning in an odd environment.
