The Academic Week of the Algarve, which presents itself as "the largest academic event in the South, both in duration (ten days) and in magnitude and impact", will take place in São Francisco, Faro, from May 2 to 11.
Every year, during the 10-day event, there is an average of 36,000 people, mostly between 18 and 25 years of age. Approximately 50% of the tickets are sold to university students and the remaining 50% to the general public.
Organized by the Academic Association of the University of Algarve (AAUAlg), an association that is 22 years old and represents the University's 8500 students, the festival promises a "poster filled with great artists of national and international renown".
