A weekend dedicated to data, letters, meeples and adventures is the promise of AlgarveCon – Meeting of Board Games in Algarve for 6 and 7 July, in the regional direction of the Portuguese Institute of Sport and Youth (IPDJ) in Faro.
"Unparalleled below the Tagus", the Associação Sê Mais Sê Melhor, the Clube MTG Olhão and the Youtube channel At Mira enter the national map of the board games with this event.
The AlgarveCon promises to "give letters to the national level" with the availability of more than 300 board games for all tastes in library mode.
The program also includes workshops, tournaments, prototype demonstrations and other activities that promise to "make it a unique experience for the most enthusiastic players of board games and even for beginners."
During the two days, all visitors can summon Liliana in Magic The Gathering, fight dragons in a Dungeons and Dragons adventure, escape from cryptic rooms, in a mini Escape Room, or command battalions in a Warhammer setting.
"This is just a small description of a world of opportunities that only fit in everyone's imagination and do not end in these two days," says the organization.
