The Almodôvar City Council receives news of the Government's decision to close all levels of education, with great hope that we can alleviate all this pressure and this growing number of cases.
This was, moreover, a claim by the municipality, which had already asked the Public Health Authority for proper authorization to close schools in our municipality, given the epidemiological situation we are experiencing.
To minimize the impacts of the closure of educational establishments, the Municipality of Almodôvar recalls that, in the first confinement, it made 165 computers available to students for distance learning and that they can be used again, if necessary.
We also announced that we are going to acquire more IT resources immediately, so that no student is left without access to virtual education.
António Bota stresses that “this closure is somewhat hampering the lives of some households, but it contributes positively to reducing the probabilities of positive cases in the community and providing greater security for our students and families”.
Now, concludes the Mayor of Almodôvar, we can only hope that everyone will do their part and that within 15 days we can, little by little, return to normal in terms of education.
