There are nine finalists in the Altice Innovation Award: six in the Startups category and three in the Academy category. There are ideas for all tastes, some aimed at other companies to individual users. And all waiting to win.
There were more than 80 projects that applied for the 2018 edition of the Altice Innovation Award, among the themes Telecom, Media & Content and Data & Advertising. The jury of the international prize, launched by Altice Portugal, chose nine.
Six finalists, Fuel Save, MOV.E, ODiHO, Plussh, Secret City Trails and Tempow compete in the Startups category. Computing Power Marketplace, Machine for Grid and Towards 5G are in the race to win in the Academy category.
And within the themes Telecom, Media & Content and Data & Advertising have been defined proposals for all tastes, both for the business market and individual users, with ideas for mobility, tourism, web and mobile apps and with technology such as IoT, 5G and others at the base.
The winners of the two categories in the contest are revealed on October 10 and, until then, SAPO TEK will announce the finalists in more detail.
The Altice Innovation Award was launched with the aim of stimulating technological innovation and talent. In a first edition it was restricted to Portugal, but this year it was extended to new geographies, namely France.
The first place in the Startups category has a monetary prize of 50 thousand euros and the possibility of a pilot (proof of concept) with the Altice Group, with a minimum duration of six months. Already the winner in the category Academy, destined to finalists of masters and doctorate, will receive a prize of 25 thousand euros.
