“Proximity to people and territory and not offices in Lisbon” is one of Altice's priorities, said Alcino Lavrador, managing director of Altice Labs at the seminar 'Innovation as a stimulus for the development of the Central Region', third conference of the Portugal Whole Cycle, organized by Jornal Económico and Altice.
Only in this way, he said, is it possible to find the meeting point between innovation, knowledge and its dissemination – otherwise insufficient to constitute one of the engines of development.
Alcino Lavrador revealed that Altice invested € 86 million in knowledge and research – many of them at Altice Labs – throughout 2018, which puts it at a nationally high profile.
The managing director of Altice Labs also stated that the company was considered the best national company, which led its managers to launch several awards that transmit this category to society itself.
“Market strategies have to be reviewed,” he warned, “always in line with the latest digital trends – and only in this way will it be possible to meet all the valences of knowledge.
