Next Sunday, August 11, at 7:30 pm, the exhibition 'Heroes' will open, which will be visible to the public on the streets of the city of Quarteira. At the same time, a book about the initiative will be launched, in a session that will take place at the Junta de Parish.
Imagined by the social and cultural movement 'Sou Quarteira', in partnership with photographer Mike Correia, the 'Heroes' exhibition, which crosses any position, ethnicity and religious belief, brings together 15 personalities from Quarteira that have marked generations of people today. never forget those who taught them empathy, courage, education, seriousness and persistence. In this project, the celebration of the most positive values is embodied by a group of notables who never lowered their arms and knew how to look at boys and girls with the understanding and dedication they deserved.
“They are our 'Heroes' who will be celebrated through outdoor exposure and the launch of a book.”, refers to the organization.
The 'Sou Quarteira' social and cultural movement seeks to affirm Quarteira's identity in its entirety – geographical, cultural, social and economic – by seeking to show the diversity of cultural and social experiences that value the city, in addition to the bathing and tourism industry. from the hotel business.
In partnership with the Municipality of Loulé, the social and cultural movement 'Sou Quarteira' also holds a Music Festival that will take place on 16 and 17 August, in Passeio das Dunas, as well as a documentary, with a preview for the Festival. .
