Farense, 15th in the 1st league of football, announced today the hiring of the Portuguese international central defender André Pinto, 31, who signed until the end of this season.
“I am very happy and excited about moving to the city of Faro. Farense is a historic and ambitious club, with all the conditions to show my football ”, confessed the central, who was currently without a club.
The Portuguese central, trained at FC Porto, promised "to give fans a lot of joy with the Farense symbol on their chest".
"Helping the team to earn points to be in the place we deserve" is the goal, pointed out the defender, in statements released by the Algarve club.
André Pinto, who will be another player with spells at the three main Algarve clubs (represented Olhanense and Portimonense), also represented Santa Clara, Vitória de Setúbal, Panathinaikos (Greece), Sporting de Braga, Sporting and Al Fateh (Saudi Arabia) , whose jersey he wore until the first months of 2020.
At Sporting de Braga, the central defender, 17th reinforcement from the Algarve for this season, was once a Portuguese international, summoned by Fernando Santos to Portugal-Cape Verde (0-2).
