The Angolan Football Federation (FAF) has not received to date any document that proves the payment, by Kabuscorp do Palanca, of the debt to the former Brazilian international Rivaldo Ferreira, reason why the club will be relegated to the second division of the national soccer as soon as Girabola2018 / 19 is over, ANGOP learned this Wednesday in Luanda.
The confirmation was made by the chairman of the FAF discipline council, José Carlos, explaining that due to the non-compliance, the Angolan federation has already issued a declaration of commitment to FIFA to realize that it will implement the measure in accordance with the guidance of this governing body the modality at world level.
However, the official also suggested that the club could have a mitigation by FIFA if it proves before the homologation of the national championship, despite having exceeded the deadline initially given (May 6) and the FAF has committed to demote it.
If it proves, he explained, the FAF should appeal to FIFA to withdraw the sanction to its member.
At the time of the announcement of FIFA's petition on the so-called "Rivaldo affair", Kabuscorp chairman Bento Kangamba said last week that he had paid about 90 percent of the $ 500,000 total debt in a lawsuit involving lawyers of the athlete, and that only the evidence was lacking.
Rivaldo represented Kabuscorp in the 2012 season and scored 11 goals in 21 games.
On the other hand, José Carlos reported that the federation's management returned the nine points it had withdrawn to Kabuscorp, after the parties involved, namely coach Romeu Filemon, Adawa (athlete) and Caetano Maria (doctor) to give up the appeal.
Thus, Kabuscorp passes to third place in Girabola2018 / 19 with 48 points.
