The polls open at 8.30 pm and close at 11.30 pm. After that time, the Olive groves will have a new president: António Fonseca Gomes.
The day is not just reserved for elections and, starting at 8:00 pm, a general meeting begins, which includes, on the agenda, the assessment and voting of the report of activities and accounts and the respective opinion of the Fiscal Council, related to the management of 2019.
Only then does the election for the social bodies for the 2020-2022 biennium ensue.
António Fonseca Gomes, remember, is a unique candidate for the succession of Jaime Silva, who has led Olivais' destinations over the past eight years and has achieved, among other records, the title and Cup of Portugal for senior women.
With an idea of the work ahead, António Fonseca Gomes assumed, in an interview with DIÁRIO AS BEIRAS, that he intends to “move in all areas that allow Olivais to be prepared to compete at the highest level, based on a training model of excellence, where in the medium term it is the training to provide the basic structure of the senior teams ”.
