Applications open in international internship program for young graduates - Jornal diariOnline Southern Region


Applications for the INOV Contacto international internship program, which offers young graduates the opportunity to undertake a paid internship for six to nine months abroad, are open until 15 October.

Young graduates up to 29 now have one more opportunity to apply and set off on a new career challenge into the unknown.

Vacancies are open in more than 200 companies, Portuguese and foreign, and in more than 80 countries, for all areas of training.

“The INOV Contacto program, in its 23 editions, has already led around 6,000 young people to intern in over 1,100 companies worldwide and our goal is for more people to have the opportunity to have this unique experience abroad and to be able to leverage their careers, ”said Luis Castro Henriques, AICEP president.

“One of the advantages of INOV is undoubtedly the doors that this program opens. In recent years, we have had a 60% employability rate in the first four weeks after the internship, ”added Maria João Bobone, program manager.

With institutions scattered in places as varied as the United Kingdom, Brazil, Spain, Namibia, Macao, Dubai or China, the INOV Contacto program also has the differentiating element that young people, when applying, do not know their destination AICEP is the match between the candidate and the company.

The program provides round trips between Portugal and the country of destination of the organization where the internship takes place, provides a monthly training grant, food allowance and a housing allowance ranging from 1,500 to 1,800 euros net, according to the UN cost of living index published for each of them.

Applications are now running until October 15th on the INOV Contacto website. In order to enroll, you must have a certificate of English level in addition to the proof of undergraduate degree (with integrated masters if applicable). Applicants may not be studying or working at the time they are invited to join the program.

The program begins with a seminar of international experience support practices that will be held and culminates with the timing of the destinations to participants.
