Atletico Clube de Albufeira on Saturday stamped the passport to the second phase of the Junior Men's B (U21) National Championship First Series, ensuring their presence in the 1st Division next season.
In the Municipal Pavilion of Guia, the Algarve team defeated the National Gymnastics Club 3-0 (partials of 25-17 / 26-24 / 25-21), in the last match of the first phase of Serie C of the championship.
The Albufeira team started the match with the distributor Francisco Simões, the opposite Constantin Jomir, in the tips Fábio Silva and Tomás Peres, the centrals Tomás Neves and Damien Clairbois, and the libero Miguel Custódio. Also played Miguel Dolores and Jorge Silva.
The albufeirenses completed this phase in 3rd place, giving access to this year's First Series and the consequent classification for the 1st Division in the 2020/2021 season of the championship that brings together the elite of the sport in the under-21 level.
Atletico Clube de Albufeira thus enters the history of the sport in the Algarve as the first club in this category to enter a first national championship of the 1st Division.
