The 25th edition of the Tour of the Municipality of Loulé Júnior runs between Thursday and Saturday, from 18 to 20, joining an Iberian squad of 22 teams at the culmination of a first phase of the season of great intensity for Portuguese juniors.
After three races of the Portuguese Cup and the National Cup of Hopes, in which they shared the squad with the under-23, the Portuguese juniors find in the Algarve event one of the great objectives of the year.
The squad will consist of 22 teams, meaning that 14 Portuguese sides will face the competition of eight teams from Spain.
The race has four stages and a total of 257.1 kilometers. The first stage, accessible to sprinters, will have 57.1 kilometers and runs from 16:30 hours on Thursday.
The next day will accommodate a double journey. At 10:00 it starts the second stage (81.7 kilometers), with passage through the Picota, departure and arrival in the square of the Republic, place of the center of Loulé that receives all the departures and arrivals, except the 3. Step, which will be a 4-kilometer team counter at the Bexiga Peres racetrack, starting at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
The Tour of the Municipality of Loulé Júnior closes with what is considered the queen stage, a journey of 114.3 kilometers, which begins at 10:00 on Saturday and has passage in the Barranco do Velho.
