Basketball / Angola: Final four of Afroliga is disputed in Luanda


The final phase of the first edition of the African Champions League Basketball Championships "AfroLiga" will be played in the Angolan capital in Luanda in May, confirmed the Angolan vice president of the federation of the sport (FAB) , Benjamin Romano.

The period of contention for this stage of the competition, also called the final four, is to be defined by FIBA-Africa, and should be set between 16 to 19 or 23 to 27, according to the official, who did not advance the reasons for changing the starting date (3 to 5 May).

The 1st-august (Angola), Smouha Sporting Club (Egypt), Sportive Salé Association (Morocco) and JS Kairouan (Tunisia) compete for the trophy in the all-against-all system with one lap, which add up more points.

AS Salé of Morocco is the champion in title, while 1º de Agosto is the most winning lineup with eight African trophies.
