The Blue Origin spacecraft, New Origin, by Jeff Bezos, CEO and co-founder of Amazon, has taken another step toward its goal of making private passenger travel into space a reality.
The capsule was held today in Texas for its 11th test mission, the largest so far, and the success of the tour made the Blue Origin team very enthusiastic. Ariana Cornell, who is responsible for the company's space travel sales, called the capsule's launch "incredible." In total, 38 experiments were carried out, a new record for the spacecraft, nine of which were supported by NASA.
The success of yet another particularly complex test mission brings Blue Origin closer to the desire to start its business operations. The company of Jeff Bezos intends to begin to take tourists to the space as soon as possible, and the initial objective would have started at the beginning of 2018. Previously, Blue Origin had already anticipated that a ticket for a tour on board the New Shepard will cost between $ 200,000 and $ 300,000.
