O Boavista was fined 7,010 euros for “assault on spectators and other players” at Sporting meeting, from last season, announced today the Disciplinary Board of the Portuguese Football Federation.

After the I Liga meeting, played in March 9, 2019, at the Bessa Stadium, in Porto, Sporting announced that it was going to act "criminally against Jorge Loureiro", member of the Boavista General Council, "in the face of shameful events" after the end of the meeting between the two clubs.

According to the statement, the Leonino club was going to act criminally against the Boavisteiro “for the aggressions against a member of the Sporting Board of Directors”, but also to participate in the Portuguese Professional Football League (LPFP), the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) and to other “competent entities”, seeking “the exclusion of Jorge Loureiro from the Portuguese sports grounds”.

Signed by the club's board of directors, the statement denounced assault on one of the club's members and “the climate of intimidation created by a group of about 20 people, some from Boavista's governing bodies,” about two other ‘leo’ leaders.
