The Olhão Work Center of the PCP, located in the Praça da Restauração, next to the city's museum, will host from today, Thursday, 8, the Book and Disco Fair, an initiative promoted by the local organization of the communists.
The inauguration will take place at 21:30 hours and, in addition to the wide variety of books, records, vinyl, CD and DVD used, throughout the month will be developed various activities.
The young Olhanense author Maria do Mar, nicknamed Paula Sousa, will be the invited author for the first day of the initiative, addressing her first book, "Quinta do Bom Cheirinho".
“Maria do Mar writes for the youngest of us, but does not exclude anyone in her didactic-realistic style. Their projects go through new adventures of two brothers, who playing and playing, suggest – in times of almost total fixation on electronic games – that everyone, kids and adults, take on healthier habits and behaviors that help us discover nature and the pleasure of their discovery, ”says the PCP.
An exhibition on the 45th anniversary of the "April Revolution", by the Union of Portuguese Antifascist Resistants, will be on display during the event, which will last until the eve of the Avante! Festival, which will take place from 6 to 8 September, in Seixal.
