More than a hundred biographies of "extraordinary boys who changed the world without killing dragons" were collected in an illustrated book for the younger ones, by Ben Brooks, who has just left in Portugal.
With illustrations from Quinton Winter, the book features short biographies of such men as Nelson Mandela, Barack Obama, Nikola Tesla, Oscar Wilde, Thomas Edison and Stephen Hawking.
From astronomy to physics, from humor to cinema, the book also tells the life story of Louis Armstrong, Confucius, Galileo Galilei, Ai Weiwei, Lionel Messi, Bill Gates or Van Gogh.
The book, published in English last spring, comes almost as a response to a series of similar works focused only on women who pioneered different areas and eras. Among them are the two volumes of "Stories of falling asleep for rebellious girls".
"Stories for boys who dare to be different" is published by Editorial Presença.
