The Loulé / Elevis BTT won, in collective terms, the 1st Troféu Escola de Armas in oriente-BTT, played last weekend in Tapada de Mafra, in addition to having added several individual triumphs.
The Loulean emblem presented itself with 16 athletes who, together, collected 1st place by teams in the sum of two events: the national sprint championship and a scoring average distance for the Portuguese Cup of orienteering in mountain biking.
On the first day of races the national champions of oriente-BTT in sprint distance were decided.
Loulé's athletes managed to win good results, including Rita Gomes and Marisa Costa, who renewed the national championship titles in veteran I and senior women, respectively, and Artur Mendonça and João Mendonça, champions in junior and junior men.
On Sunday, in the average distance race, the runners of the Loulé / Elevis BTT added more than a dozen appearances on the podium.
The Portuguese Cup of Ori-BTT continues in the next days 18 and 19, in Cordoba, Spain, with the accomplishment of the Iberian Men's Championship.
