Cannes Film Festival: Gabriel Abrantes's film in Directors' Fortnight - News



Gabriel Abrantes returns to be present in Cannes, after to have won the great prize of the Week of the Critic precisely with "Diamantino", in 2018.

Of the selection of films of this year of the Directors' Fortnight, also stands out for the inclusion of "Without its blood", of the Brazilian director Alice Furtado.

The French filmmaker's fortnight, entitled "Yves" by French director and actor Benôit Forgeard, will be opened this year with "Le Daim" by Quentin Dupieux, French director and musician, known by his artistic name Mr. Oizo.

The Cannes Film Festival is scheduled for 14-25 May.

On Monday, Critics' Week – another of the parallel programs to the festival – announced the selection of two Portuguese short films: "Dia de Festa", by Sofia Bost, and "Invisible Hero," by the lusceptible Cristèle Alves Meira.
