The jury of the 2018 edition decided, by consensus, to award the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Literary Prize to the novel Benjamim Renzo in Alentejo, by Carlos César Miranda de Vasconcelos. The jury considered that this work met criteria of originality (breakdown of traditional genres, construction of realities) and literary solidity (domain of the language and its resources) appropriate to the creativity that is presupposed in this type of works.
The delivery of the Manuel Teixeira Gomes Literary Prize will take place this Thursday, December 6, in a ceremony included in the Official Commemorations of the City Day and marked for the Municipal Library Manuel Teixeira Gomes, from 9.30 pm.
