The municipality of Lagoa highlights "the night of Saturday, June 15, which returns to become legendary on the same beach that over time has become used to living extraordinary stories with pirates, military and other adventurers, who came from the sea Carvoeiro ».
Since 2014, there are more than 30 thousand people who dress in black and white and, during the night of Saturday, June 15, they become inhabitants of Carvoeiro. They walk through the streets of the village, down to the beach, and climb back to the most panoramic places, always accompanied by the many songs and other artistic languages that now come from a corner, now come from a small improvised stage, if on a larger stage.
The program of this 6th edition of Black & White begins at 8:30 PM, with the singer Raquel Peters. Its melodious and vibrant voice promises to enchant the esplanades of Largo da Praia do Carvoeiro. Shortly after, at 20h40, the percussionist Vasco Ramalho, begins to spread the sounds of his marimba. After 9:00 p.m., the Lighthouse Road is the setting for different performances, among which the aerial dance. Between 9.20 and 11.10 pm, the duo The Bossa Alibi offers a jazz lounge based on songs from the 50s and 60s, and in particular at Bossa Nova. Starting at 9:50 pm, at the Carvoeiro Amphitheater, "The Piano Man Band", promises to delight the audience with timeless covers.
At 9:50 pm, The Bottles summon the public to the crazy years of the '60s, and to the musical successes that marked an entire generation. Following the 22h00, the most danceable hits of the 70s, 80s and 90s, selected by Dj Mark Guedes, nationally recognized for being responsible for the weekly program "Flash Dance" of the M80. At midnight, on the beach, there is a firework display synchronized with music.
From 00h00 to 03h00, the beach of Carvoeiro will turn into an immense dance floor. In this edition Black & Wite, DJ Deelight presents the best pop house hits. Throughout the evening you will have the collaboration of MC Landu Bi. There will also be a futuristic backdrop that will serve as a booth for the DJ. It is a scenic structure to be set up for the first time in the Algarve.
Access to Black & Wit is free. Between 9:00 p.m. and midnight, children have a space where they can make black and white face paintings or just have fun.
Like the last editions, the Municipality of Lagoa, organizer of the event, will maintain the regular line of free buses that ensure the connection between Carvoeiro and the various parking lots provided in Lagoa: zones of Fatacil, Intermarché, Apolónia, Aldi and the Gramital (land that is located in front of Aldi). The hours of operation of the bus line will be maintained, ie there will be roundtrip buses between 18.00 and 04.00.
The visual animation, in black and white, is transversal to the various artistic manifestations that accompany the people in the streets of this legendary night in Carvoeiro, Lagoa.
