The Castro Marim City Council will develop the exhibition «100 Memórias» and asked its residents for love letters, photographs, postcards, secret letters, documents, books or other souvenirs that enrich the history of the municipality.
The goal is to “leave this legacy to future generations, in the construction of a new look at the cultural and social identity of Castro,” stresses the executive.
The challenge is launched to the entire population and also to entities and communities that, by virtue of their missions, already have some of these inheritances.
If the memories are very personal and / or family, instead of the donation, the owners may only declare the transfer (or just copy) of the materials under the project "100 Memórias", or for other purposes of promotion and dissemination of the heritage collected. .
This collection, which will then be carefully selected by a commission constituted and qualified for this purpose, will give rise to an exhibition and registration in municipal collection, which will document the legitimate origin of the materials and their owners.
Deliveries can be made by December 15th via email [email protected], in person at the Municipal Support Office in Castro Marim, or by private message through the Municipality's facebook.
