The show "Cataplay" is returning to Tavira on Saturday, 11, to give another seasoning to the Ribeira Market, in a session that starts at 19:00 hours.
The cataplana is the motto for a show of theater, music, dance and gastronomy, spoken in Portuguese and subtitled in English, where the recipes about human relations or love are discussed.
At the end, a cataplana recipe, made by Tertúlia Algarvia's team, accompanied by wines produced in the region, is served to the public.
On stage are the actors Mário Spencer and Tânia Silva, who play two characters in conflict – the Famous Al-Chef and the Marafada Cook -, who discuss among themselves about the recipes of life, society, passion or love, at the same time time that reflect on the origins of the cataplana, this mysterious and unique utensil in the world.
Tickets for the show, which include the gastronomic experience, cost 10 euros for the general public and 8.5 euros for children under 30 and over 65.
There are also family tickets, at 25 euros, which guarantee the admission to two adults and a child from the age of six.
Tickets can be purchased online or on the day of the show, at the venue, from 5 pm.
