WhatsApp is developing a new update that will make many updaters feel comfortable. The service will be available on multiple phones and devices, according to Independent, based on a new leak.
By April, WABetaInfo had already suggested that these new features were being worked on, but now it seems that the rumor is confirmed.
The latest version of the messaging app will make WhatsApp a truly cross-platform experience, allowing users to easily switch between iPad, smartphone and computer when sending and receiving messages.
So far, WhatsApp accounts have been linked to a single mobile number, meaning that only one standalone application can be on a single device. This means that using WhatsApp on computers would require users to link it to their original device account.
In practical terms, the new update means that WhatsApp will work similarly to other applications such as Facebook, where users can use the same login details on different devices, download standalone versions of the application on any device and sync messages between them all.
In the new version to be guessed there will also be synchronization and all data security will be assured. Other features for WhatsApp include permanent problem alerts as well as removal of a shortcut that allows users to save and export their contacts' profile photo.
