Chibanga Groove sells out in Silves

The last Jazz session in the Cellars with Chibanga Groove scheduled for November 13th and 14th at Pasha Wines, Silves at 9:00 pm and 5:00 pm respectively, is sold out.

Chibanga Groove were formed in 2008 and arise from the sharing and musical complicity that already existed among musicians in other projects such as the “Tora Tora Big Band”. «The music is cheerful, with strong rhythms, a lot of improvisation and influences of various styles», highlights the organization. From this profusion stands out a base in the African-American musical tradition, in Latin rhythms and, predominantly in African music, by the presence of Guinean Ibrahim Galissa descended from a lineage of Kora masters.

Throughout another edition of Jazz in the Wineries, the municipality of Silves, together with the Gimnásio Clube de Faro, dynamically boosted the county's wineries, mixing the wines of Silves with the sounds of Jazz.
