Christmas Village animates vila-realense from Saturday - Jornal diariOnline Região Sul

The magic of Christmas returns to Vila Real de Santo António with another edition of the Christmas Village in Marquês de Pombal square, which starts on Saturday, 8 at 3:30 p.m., with a concert by the Philharmonic Band and the arrival of Father Christmas.

Until January 6, 2019, the space promises to become a point of fun for small and large, where there will be no Santa Claus House, a Christmas market, carousels and a mini free playground.

Between 10:00 am and 7:00 p.m., with free admission, the Aldeia de Natal appeals to everyone's imagination with a series of music and dance shows, handicrafts and gastronomy shows, a march of native parents and a class solidarity sports.

Monte Gordo will also have its Christmas Village, on Marginal Avenue, in front of the casino, with Santa's house, musical animation and dancing. The space can be visited on weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., between December 8 and 23.

The street initiatives are complete with the Christmas Market, on December 9, between 10:30 and 17:00 in Cacela Velha.

In Santa Rita, the Center for Research and Heritage Information of Cacela (CIIPC) celebrates Christmas with the workshop for families «Cadernos Almariados», on December 8, at 3:00 p.m., which is joined by a « Presepio Algarvio ", built with the residents of Santa Rita, until 6 January.

Also the House of Culture in Monte Gordo receives, on December 9, at 4:00 pm, the play «There is a Christmas party in the forest», brought to the stage by the group Mirror Magic – GATEM.

Another of the highlights of the celebrations of the court is the Giant Crib of Vila Real de Santo António, installed in the António Aleixo Cultural Center. The structure can be seen until December 6 and has about 5000 figures and 20 tons of material.

Already in 2019, on January 5, at 11:00, the Christmas Village receives, as has been tradition, the visit of the Magi of Ayamonte. The initiative is part of the Guadiana Eurocity program, strengthening ties and traditions with neighboring Spain.
