The second volume of the edition «Portuguese-Brazilian Perspectives in Arts and Communication» is the latest publication by the Research Center in Arts and Communication (CIAC) of the University of Algarve (UAlg).
The publication, organized by researchers Denize Araujo, Jorge Carrega and Ingrid Fechine, is composed of articles in the area of communication, produced by 36 researchers from various Portuguese and Brazilian institutions.
The volume results from a period of dialogue between researchers from Portugal and Brazil, between CIAC and the Research Group Communication, Memory and Popular Culture of UEPB – Paraíba State University (Brazil), with the collaboration of CIC – Research Group Communication, Image and Contemporaneity of UTP – Tuiuti University of Paraná (Brazil).
The publication aims to contribute to the dissemination of scientific knowledge that resulted from research in arts and communication, developed in the respective academic and scientific contexts.
The first part of this volume brings eight works dedicated to film research, while the second part has 16 articles that reflect on the arts and communication, with the aim of contributing to the debate on the various issues related to image studies. , script and film construction, as well as research in literature, arts, culture, photography and journalism.
CIAC researchers Jorge Carrega, Mirian Tavares, Patrícia Dourado and Álvaro Americano featured in the cinema.
In the area of arts and humanities, we highlight the works of Sandra Boto, Bruno Mendes da Silva, Tiago Cruz, Fernando Faria Paulino, Adriana Freire Nogueira, Pedro Pais Correia and Josely Teixeira Carlos.
