Ciência Viva Clubs will be created in schools in the Algarve

The Operational Program of the Algarve – CRESC Algarve 2020 approved, at its last meeting, the applications submitted by groupings of schools for the constitution and operation of Clubs of Live Science in schools in the Algarve.
“The Clubs of Ciência Viva na Escolas, for their contribution to the valorization of knowledge in the scientific and technological areas, and of the experimental teaching of science, at all levels of education, constitute one of the privileged instruments in the promotion of school success”, refers to Algarve Regional Coordination and Development Commission, manager of POAlgarve.
Under this initiative, activities that contribute to the production of specialized technical content will be supported; the production of tools and digital content; holding meetings, seminars and workshops and conducting study visits and travel, and other ways of sharing knowledge, experiences and good practices between groups of schools / non-grouped schools.
The 17 groupings of schools that had their applications approved were as follows:

With these new Live Science Clubs at School, the Algarve will be covered with a network endowed with “the best conditions to promote experimental science teaching and promote interaction between schools, higher education institutions, the scientific community and companies” .
