Based on an unprecedented concept, the result of an artistic order made by seven programmers at a national level (CCB / Fábrica das Artes, Centro de Arte de Ovar, Cine-Teatro Louletano, Porto Rivoli Municipal Theater – Campo Alegre, Culturgest, São Luiz Teatro Municipal and Teatro Viriato), Cine-Teatro Louletano presents the multidisciplinary project "Marinho" by Margarida Mestre, which is constantly changing and adapting in the rooms of the various co-producers.
Between October 15 and 20 in Loulé there are workshops in 1st cycle schools involving students and teachers, and shows for children, families and the public in general, as well as an informal conference on environmental issues. Of particular note are the presentations directed to the general public and families to be held on 19 (Friday), at 9.30 p.m., and 20 (Saturday) at 10:30 p.m., at Cine-Teatro.
This is an approach to the ecological theme (in this case, the sea and its symbolic imagery, stories and protagonists, the issue of environmental sustainability …), which is part of a Cine-Theater programming line that, in direct alignment with the The Municipal Strategy for Adaptation to Climate Change (EMAAC) of Loulean Autarchy has been favoring artistic creations around this thematic axis, such as the play "Amazonia", from the Porto collective Mala Voadora recently presented in this room.
Is that in the new work of the performer "Marinho" the theme of the Sea is the motto to revisit the power of the literary composition and vocal of this multifaceted artist that is accompanied by a sonorous installation of Henrique Fernandes and a beautiful visual composition, projected in great dimensions, of Maria João Castelo.
And why call him "Marine"? "What happens in reality and in our imaginary when we relate to this net immensity that is the sea, which has both here and there, that both provokes attraction and fear, that so much History has done to us, so much history gives us , and so many make us do? How do we now plunge into this infinite matter? How do we bring it to earth in the form of language, in the form of experience, in the form of a vision? "- questions the artist.
Margarida Mestre has a training in Childhood Educator, Sonoplastia and Dance at Fórum Dança. She is the director of several projects between Art and Pedagogy and invigorates projects in the area of voice and choir. She is the author of poetry shows for adult and children, such as "Tudo Gira", "Poems for small mouths", "Ballad of the twenty friorentas girls" and "Marinho". He has a master's degree in Performative Arts – Theater of Movement by E.S.T.C. of Lisbon.
The presentations of days 19 and 20 have an associated cost of 3 euros per person and the Amigo Card is not applicable in this spectacle that lasts approximately 45 minutes and is addressed to those over 6 years old, through the availability of the room, the young people who are 18 years old or who are still 18 years old this year under the project "És Cultura 18!".
