Coimbra Football Association suspends competitions until January 30

The Football Association of Coimbra (AFC) announced, through a statement, that the district football and futsal competitions are suspended until at least 30 January. The growth of covid-19 cases, as well as the measures enacted by the Portuguese Government on Wednesday, in order to contain the spread of the pandemic, led the AFC to suspend the holding of the Division 1 Honorary football games, AFC Division and the Under-21 District Trophy. Also the matches in the Men's Futsal Honor Division, which has not yet started, and the Women's Futsal Honor Division, which had a close match on Wednesday night, were suspended.
“The Coimbra Football Association, after careful reflection on the matter, decided, following the Government's guidelines, to interrupt all competitions organized by it, a situation that will be in effect between 00:00 on January 15th and 23:00 hours of January 30 ”, can be read in the communication released by the entity.
