The Portuguese Association of Companies of Congresses, Tourist Entertainment and Events will hold the «APECATE Day», an initiative scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, 7, at the NAU São Rafael hotel, in Albufeira.
The «APECATE Day» intends to be an action of promotion and reflection on the resumption of the sector of congresses, events and tourist entertainment, “very affected by the effects of the pandemic”, the business association said in a statement.
After being held in Lisbon and Braga, it is now the turn of the Algarve to host the initiative, divided into two moments and with two different objectives.
In the morning, a meeting is held with businessmen to discuss the topic "Context Costs in the Maritime Tourism Sector", preparing the first working meeting of the interministerial group created by dispatch 6951/2020, which aims to "discuss the measures to simplify the tourist maritime sector ”.
In the afternoon, in an initiative open to all businessmen in the sector and which will count on the participation of the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rita Marques, it is intended to “reinforce confidence in the resumption of activity”.
Two panels are foreseen "that focus on the reflection about the pandemic and how the sector can operate with the ultimate goal of guaranteeing and transmitting confidence to the customer".
The first panel, with journalist Rui Cardoso, from Expresso, will address the theme «Reflection on the pandemic and how we can work. How are events and programs going to be in the context of a pandemic, what do customers think, how to continue working ».
In the second panel, businessmen Mário Ferreira (Hotel Nau), Madalena Miranda (AIM Agency) and Carlos Vieira (Ski Molhado, from Albufeira) participate.
