New global trends in food consumption are forcing national agri-food companies to increasingly invest human and financial resources in innovation. Jornal Económico has been listening to four Portuguese agri-food companies to understand the big news in the pipeline, from new packaging to new products that are about to reach our tables.
All of these companies benefit from a program promoted by PortugalFoods, the 'Ecotrophelia' award, which will go to the fourth edition in Portugal in 2020. This is an initiative that promotes eco-innovation, entrepreneurship and the competitiveness of the sector. agri-food, challenging higher education students to develop 'out of the box' food products.
