Contemporary erudite music festival on return to Évora - Showbiz



The conference entitled "From the operational framework of the Social Sciences in the Explanation of Contemporary Music", by João Ranita da Nazaré, retired professor of the New University of Lisbon, is the first initiative of the program, on Friday at 18:00 .

At night, at 9:30 pm, it is the turn of the Teatro Garcia de Resende to host the piano recital "Portugal and its music", by Joana Gama, whose motto is the release of the album by the artist "Travels in my Homeland" , according to the pianist herself, quoted by the local authority.

The first day of the festival ends at 11:30 pm with the concert and performance "Visual – Xesy", in the square next to the theater, with visual projections of Filipe Rebelo, electronic of Luís Luz and the participation of José Fernandes in the saxophone.

Saturday's show kicks off at 18:00 with a piano recital by Ana Telles entitled "Infinito Azul – Homage to José Luís Ferreira", dedicated to this composer, born in 1973 and died last year.

"Liturgy of the Birds" is the theme of the evening concert of the pianist and composer Daniel Bernardes, in honor of the French master Olivier Messiaen, accompanied by the Drumming Percussion Group, the bass player António Augusto Aguiar and the drummer Mário Costa.

On the third and last day of the festival, the pianist Ana Telles gives the conference "Around the Blue Infinite Project", followed by the concert "Persistence" by CriaSons.

The 2nd edition of the Festival 20.21 closes at 21:30 with the opera "Everything Never Ever the Same Different Nothing (TNSoMDN)", by Tiago Cutileiro, performed by Inês Simões, Nélia Gonçalves, Maria Ermida, Maria João Sousa ( singers), as well as by the Ars Ad Hoc group, with the organization of Art in Time.

According to the promoters, quoted by the chamber, "not ceasing to be an opera, in the most classical sense, involves a simultaneous conception of music, libretto, video projection and staging."
