A debate that brings together compelling names of sound and experimental music called "The Gods' Scratched Council" (and that will take place in a hermitage), performances, multidisciplinary shows, masterclasses, concerts and interactive installations will all be done the fourth edition of Som Riscado – Music and Picture Festival of Loulé that takes place between the 11 and 14 of April, in an unparalleled concept in the South of the country.
An edition that joins reference figures like Carlos Zíngaro, Vítor Rua, André Tentúgal, João Ricardo de Barros Oliveira (Lixoluxopóetico) and Noiserv (David Santos), as well as the already repeating cultural association Radar 360º and an artist of the Municipality, the photographer Luís da Cruz.
For students of the arts, music and image, as well as for artists, performers, DJs, among others curious and interested, there will also be in this one the fourth edition, a special attention given to the formation, being thus given several masteclasses on the new approaches to the sound and music (Vítor Rua), on image for musical contents (André Tentugal) or on audiovisual objects (Chassol).
Thinking about the lovers of experimental music and improvisation was purposely programmed on the weekend what is new and bold in this field in Portugal, but also abroad, with absolute premieres to the south. The prestigious French composer and pianist Chassol presents the work "Big Sun" at Cine-Teatro Louletano on Saturday 13 at 9.30 p.m., and at the Auditorium of Música Nova, there will be a performance by Vítor Rua and The Metaphysical Angels with the acclaimed album "Do Androids Dream Of Electric Guitars?".
Already for Sunday, the 14th, and as far as concerts are concerned, there will be a very special project happening at the Solar da Música Nova Auditorium. This is an order of the festival addressed to the photographer Luís da Cruz and David Santos (Noiserv) in a dialogue between music and photography in an unprecedented scenic device in what will be the closing event of Som Riscado at 6:00 p.m.
With the Cine-Teatro Louletano and the Auditorium of Solar da Música Nova as epicenters, Som Riscado surrounds several spaces of the city of Loulé in its activities, as well as several institutional partners of the county and region, namely: University of Algarve (Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Center for Research in Arts and Communication (CIAC) and School of Education and Communication), Loulé Secondary School, Secondary School of Quarteira, Escola EB2,3 / Secondary School of Bemposta (Portimão) and ETIC_Algarve (Faro) .
