The Court of Auditors (ToC) concluded today that the Account of the Autonomous Region of the Azores of 2017 "is affected by errors and omissions materially relevant", namely in areas such as revenues of the regional administration or the debt of the same.
"There has been an improper registration and registration in the Budget and in the Account of revenues of the regional direct administration that, globally considered, have materially relevant repercussions on the current, capital and primary balances," the ToC reveals in the opinion delivered today in the parliament of the Region of 2017.
This opinion and that of the Legislative Assembly of the Region of the Azores for the past year were delivered this afternoon to the Ponta Delgada delegation of the Azores.
The TdC denounces, for example, the inclusion of € 178.9 million "transferred by the State under the principle of solidarity", but "registered and recorded in current income", or "€ 3.8 million from the For the financing of passenger charges for air travel within the Azores, to or from the Mainland or Madeira, which are registered and recorded in capital receipts ".
The reclassified public entities, continues the entity headed by Vítor Caldeira, "did not adopt, in a complementary way, a budget accounting system, which made it impossible to certify the amounts presented in the Account related to the budget execution of these entities, of the 550 million euros and expenses in the amount of about 544.5 million euros ".
