The creators of the "Game of Thrones" series have struck a deal with Netflix to write, produce and direct new series, the streaming company itself said on Wednesday.
The contract with David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, after an intense dispute between the major studios, marks the departure of the HBO duo after years of working on the show that broke record ratings.
"They are a creative force and have dazzled viewers around the world with their epic narrative. We can't wait to see what their imagination will give our subscribers," said Ted Sarandos, head of content at Netflix.
